This converted byre was a pleasant surprise, with lovely features and all the extras you could think of. The hosts were delightful and even let us use their garden. Perfectly located away from the Lake District hustle and bustle.
Oh, there was absolutely nothing I didn't like about this place. It was just pure perfection.

The location of this hotel was perfect for exploring the northern/western lakes as well as the Scottish borders. It had all the amenities we needed for our family trip, including games for the kids and charcoal for the barbecue. The hosts were really nice too make us feel welcome, even providing freshly baked scones with clotted cream and homemade marmalade. The cottage itself was cozy and cute, with lots of interesting touches. The large garden was a hit with our boys, who loved exploring it. The hosts were fantastic and very helpful throughout our stay.
For us, it was ideal.

This place was absolutely amazing! The attention to detail was exceptional, with so many extra touches that made our stay special. The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the homemade lime cake that was waiting for us was absolutely delicious. The location was perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway, and the view was absolutely stunning. The cottage itself was incredibly well-equipped, with everything we could possibly need, even if we were staying long-term. We didn't want to leave!
Honestly, there was nothing to dislike about this place. It was perfect in every way.

Nearby Hutton in the Forest is worth a visit for the interesting house tour and spectacular gardens. The owners' beautiful 3-acre grounds are open for exploration. highly recommended.

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful converted byre in the countryside. The moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and homemade treats. The surrounding countryside was amazing, providing the perfect backdrop for a peaceful and romantic honeymoon. The Byre itself was cozy and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a perfect stay. We also appreciated the privacy and tranquility of the location. The hosts were helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. The cherry on top was the fine orchard that we were able to explore. we cannot recommend this historic converted byre enough - it made our honeymoon lovely.

We got very nice value for our money and the room was beyond comfortable. The location was secluded and beautiful with fine views and plenty of walking nearby. The staff treated us with so much kindness and made us feel welcome.
When it comes to breakfast delights, it would have been nice to have more variety in the morning offerings.
